The Important Stuff

How to prepare for your shoot, what to expect, and usage notes for images, presented in no particular order.

1. Show up on time / Plan ahead - The easiest way to ensure that you do not get a lot of good images is to show up half an hour late to an hour-long shoot. We start shooting at the scheduled start time. Additional shooting time may be available at an additional fee, but please be considerate and plan to be ready.

2. Preparation
- Feed and hydrate yourself with something healthy before your shoot. Wear clothes that fit YOU and make YOU look good, and practice in front of a mirror for a few minutes until you find several poses and looks that you really like. Whenever possible, bring examples of models, celebrities, or any other picture that shows how you'd like to look. This will help me in direction and lighting.

3. Facebook / licensing / usage - Images provided from a shoot may be used as-is on facebook and other social media sites so long as the original dimensions and any logos/watermarks are not altered. Fullsize, non-watermarked images may be available for purchase for commercial/promotional licensing purposes, but please respect the copyright of the provided web images. If you have any questions about usage, please contact me.

4. Proofs / Finals - Typically, after a shoot, you will be sent to a gallery containing my own personal selection of images from the shoot. This includes images that are in-focus, correctly exposed, and have all of the makings of a good picture. These are usually un-retouched as they are, and are being provided as a method for you to pick out your own personal favorites for retouching. During retouching, skin blemishes will be removed, colors touched up, and other small distractions taken care of. If you have special requests for retouching, contact me ahead of time, otherwise I will just edit how I see fit.

5. Prints - Prints are available either directly through my online gallery, or by contacting me directly to talk about printing options. Unless otherwise noted, prints will be made at the dimensions of the original image on glossy paper. I use only the highest quality photo labs for my imaging, which ensures correct color reproduction on a durable and fade-resistant surface.

6. Refunds / Reshoots - Since it is impossible for me to reclain time spent shooting and editing, refunds for photo sessions simply are not possible. If, during your shoot, you feel that things are not happening correctly, or you are not happy with your experience, let me know and I will attempt to fix whatever the problem is, but barring technical issues on my end or external uncontrollable factors (power outage, tornado, etc), the most I can offer is a reshoot at a reduced price.
